On its 2002 release, this edition from Film Preservation Associates seemed redundant in the wake of Kino International’s 2001 two-volume releases of short films featuring Roscoe Arbuckle and Buster Keaton. The differences in content here being the inclusion of His Wedding Night (1917) and Oh, Doctor! (1917) compared to the combined ten-film program of the Kino editions.

For some enthusiasts, the main attraction of this collection were the piano scores performed by Neil Brand, which offered an alternative to The Alloy Orchestra scores on the Kino editions.

This edition is now out-of-print; it has been replaced by the two Flicker Alley editions noted above.
