This PAL edition has been produced by Filmmuseum München and the Goethe-Institut, München, from only surviving nitrate print of the film, a damaged and deteriorating 35mm print with sections lost to decomposition. The intertitles have been restored utilizing the original German censorship records.

The film is presented with an improvised piano score performed by Joachim Bärenz.

This high-quality edition is recommended to all with a PAL disc player.

North American collectors will need a region-free PAL DVD player capable of outputting an NTSC-compatible signal to view this edition.
