Charlie Chaplin
His Life & Work
(2003)

This documentary was originally released as part of Delta Entertainment’s 12-disc series of Charles Chaplin short film collections. Given the horrible quality of many films in those collections, we do not expect this documentary directed by Liam Dale to be well-researched or well-produced.

This budget DVD release of this questionable documentary may or may not include quality footage from the Chaplin films being discussed.

Sight unseen, we don’t truly recommend this out-of-print disc or its contents. It’s likely not to be worth risking your ten dollars (or more).

Cobra Entertainment being the successor to low-budget home video producer Delta Entertainment (previously Laserlight Digital), rereleased this documentary with four added Chaplin films as an enticement. We warn you, this should not be tempting at all after you see our reviews of the previous releases from Laserlight/Delta: Tillie’s Punctured Romance from Laserlight Digital; The Rink from Delta Entertainment; The Vagabond from Delta Entertainment; and The Immigrant from Delta Entertainment.

Sight unseen, we don’t recommend this disc or its contents.
