The Curran Theatre was designed and built as a live theatre venue, but the theatre is known to have presented a run of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) in 1925.
In 1960, comedian Lenny Bruce recorded a full-length concert performance at the Curran Theater, which was released on LP records as a full-length concert.
Today, the theatre is owned and operated by the Shorenstein Hays Nederlander Organization.
