Daughter of actor Richard Bennett and actress Adrienne Morrison;
sister of actress Joan Bennett and actress Barbara Bennett.

Married Philip Morgan Plant, 3 November 1925; divorced, 14 December 1929;
adopted son, Peter Bennett Plant, born 1929.

Constance Bennett begans screen acting in 1916 with an extra role in The Valley of Decision (1916), with her serious acting career begining in 1922. It wasn’t long before Constrance began bleaching her hair, by the time of My Wife and I (1925), to become the blonde beauty that audiences remember today.
