Born 29 July 1906 in New York, New York, USA, as James Sheridan Tansey.
Died 12 April 1961 in Sacramento, California, USA.

Son of actress Emma Tansey. Brother of director Robert Emmett Tansey, and of actor John Tansey.

James Sheridan began film work in 1915 as a child actor. His film career lasted until 1944.
