Released 16 January 1912. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / The novella was previously filmed as Den skaebnesvangre Opfindelse (1910). The novella was subsequently filmed as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1913).


Survival status: Prints exist in the Library of Congress film archive; in the UCLA Film and Television Archive film archive; in the La Cinematheque Quebeçoise film archive; and in the film holdings of Film Preservation Associates (Blackhawk Films collection) [incomplete 35mm preservation neagative, incomplete 35mm preservation positive].
