Albuquerque Film Company was previously known as The Albuquerque Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated. The company acquired an additional $200,000 in capital funding, and in August 1914 became Albuquerque Film Company to begin producing one-reel comedies (under the Luna Films brand name) and comedy-dramas starring Dot Farley and Augustus Carney. Advertising still listed the company name as The Albuquerque Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, as late as November 1914. Albuquerque Film Company productions were distributed by The United Motion Picture Producers, Incorporated, through United Film Service (Warner’s Features, Incorporated).
